Members, Objectives & Duties of Committees
Nominating Committee: This committee will be responsible for nominating people to fill the positions of Co-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer in accordance with the By-laws. Committee Members: Greg McGinty (Chair), Steve James , Al Bingham, Columbus Brown, Maurice Taggart.
Student Workshop: This committee will be responsible for determining the topics and securing the speakers for presentations of interest to college-aged young adults. Committee Members: Steve James(Chair), Chantel Depp, Janet Hasselrig, Lianne Hibbert, Kristopher Smith, Sharon Fuller, Robert cook.
Professional Workshop: This committee will be responsible for determining the topics and securing the speakers for presentations of interest to conference attendees. Committee Members: Kristopher Smith (Chair), Essie Duffie, Al Bingham, Janet Hasselrig, Mickey Gutierrez.
Student Recruitment/Funding: This committee will be responsible for raising money and recruiting minority students to attend the SEAFWA conference. Diversity Awards: This committee will be responsible for awarding a state for efforts, accomplishments and best practices for workforce and constituent diversity. Committee Members: Richard Allen (Chair), Columbus Brown, Al Bingham, Lianne Hibbert.
Newsletter: This committee will be responsible for informing our members and the natural resources community about diversity related events and topics. Committee Members: Lianne Hibbert (Chair), Richard Allen.
Membership: This committee will be responsible for securing additional members to assist in the on-going efforts of MINRC. Committee Members: Yvonne Bobo (Chair), Sharon Fuller, Richard Allen, Jimmy Laurent.
Website: This committee will be responsible for development and maintenance of website and internet interfaces for MINRC. Committee Members: Paul Clemons (Chair), Al Bingham.
Student Tracking: This committee will be responsible for providing data and measuring the outcomes and successes of MINRC students. Committee Members: Jimmy Laurent(Chair), Yvonne Bobo, Marion Campbell, Paul Clemons.
